GAMBHIR



Gautam Gambhir  born 14 October 1981), affectionately known as Gauti, is one of the leading cricketers in the Indian cricket team. A left-handed opening batsman, who can also play in the middle order, he made his One Day International debut for India against Bangladesh in 2003, and played his first Test the following year, this time against Australia. He was the captain of the ODI team from late-2010 to late-2011. He is currently the highest run-scorer for India in the Twenty20 Internationals and 9th highest in the ODIs. Fellow Indian team-mate Virender Sehwag called him "the best Indian opener since Sunil Gavaskar".
Gambhir represents Delhi in first-class cricket and has been a prolific run-scorer in domestic cricket with an average of over 50. His two successive double-hundreds in 2002 (one of them against the visiting Zimbabweans) made him a strong contender for India's opening slot in all three forms of the game. He played and served as Captain for the Delhi Daredevils franchise in the Indian Premier League for three years before he was appointed skipper for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2011. He is the highest paid cricketer in the history of IPL with a salary of $2.4 million. Under Gambhir's captaincy, the Kolkata Knight Riders won their first title in 2012. Gambhir played an integral part in leading India to victory in both the final of the 2011 Cricket World Cup (97 from 122 balls) and the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20 (75 from 54 balls).
Gambhir became only the fourth Indian batsman to score a double century in a tour game at home; the previous three being Sunil GavaskarDilip Vengsarkar and Sachin Tendulkar. He is the only Indian batsman to score more than 300 runs in four consecutive Test series. He is also the only Indian, and one of only four international cricketers, to have scored five hundreds in five consecutive test matches.[4] He was conferred with the Arjuna Award, India's second highest sporting award in the year 2008 by the President of India.[5] In 2009, he was the number one ranked batsman in ICC Test rankings.[6][7] The same year, Gambhir was the recipient of the ICC Test Player of the Year award.

Ajith Kumar (born 1 May 1971), is an Indian film actor. He has won three Filmfare Best Actor Awards, all for films which showcased him in multiple roles. In addition to his acting, Ajith, in a sabbatical, participated in the 2004 British Formula Three season as a Formula Two racing driver. race driver and was ranked the third best motor car driver in India at his peak.

Saravanan Sivakumar (born 23 July 1975), better known by his stage name Suriya is an Indian film actor, producer and television presenter, who is currently working in the Tamil film industry. He has acted in 28 films in various genres as a lead actor till date. After making his debut in the acclaimed production Nerukku Ner (1997), he went on to feature in many successful films, which include Nandha (2001), Pithamagan (2003), Kaakha Kaakha (2003), Perazhagan (2004), Ghajini(2005), Vel (2007), Vaaranam Aayiram (2008), Ayan (2009), Singam (2010), 7aum Arivu (2011) and Maattrraan (2012). As of 2010, he has won three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards South, establishing himself as one of the leading contemporary actors in Tamil cinema.

Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar (born 22 June 1974), mononymously known as Vijay and popularly referred to as Ilayathalapathy Vijay (English: Young Leader), is an Indian actorplayback singer and producer, who works in the Tamil film industry. Son of film director and producer S. A. Chandrasekhar, he started his career as a child actor and later made his debut as a lead actor in the 1992 film Naalaya Theerpu helmed by S. A. Chandrasekhar, and has since then starred in numerous commercially successful and acclaimed films in various genres, the most recent one being Thuppakki. He was listed #28 in Forbes India top 100 Celebrities for the year 2012.
He has been awarded two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, nominated for one Filmfare Award and conferred honorary doctorate by MGR University for his extensive philanthropic works in 2007. He launched the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, a social welfare organisation in 2009.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni  (born 7 July 1981), commonly known as M. S. Dhoni, is an Indian cricketer and the current captain of the Indian national cricket team and the Chennai Super Kings. He is an attacking right-handed middle-order batsman and wicket-keeper. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in December 2004 against Bangladesh, and played his first Test a year later against Sri Lanka.

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar  born 24 April 1973) is an Indian cricketer widely acknowledged as one of the greatestbatsmen in One Day International and second only to Don Bradman in the all time greatest list in Test cricket. In 2002, Wisden Cricketers' Almanack ranked him the second greatest Test batsman of all time, behind Don Bradman, and the second greatest one-day-international (ODI) batsman of all time, behind Viv Richards. Tendulkar was a part of the 2011 Cricket World Cup winning Indian team in the later part of his career, his first such win in six World Cup appearances for India. He was also the recipient of "Player of the Tournament" award of the 2003 Cricket World Cup held in South Africa.
